Also the community usually is very friendly and nice here. I am a dummy!

If you're unsure about how things here are working, including unknown words or how to customize your profile or stuff, just note me. I'm glad to help. I'm online daily for about 3 hours.
Enjoy your time here and have fun! #9 Free Icon: Rei Hino (Sailor Mars)

Seven at Seven: DeviantART Community Tips What is This Article About?
This mini-journal feature is focused on seven helpful points, posted at seven (EST time.) Within this article, I hope to feature anything of a varied nature to guide deviants as they navigate daily through the vast, growing community. The first issue highlights seven helpful community tips that anyone can take advantage of.
So, with introductions out of the way, let’s dive right in.

:snowflake: BE AWARE OF YOUR DEVIANTART PRESENCE
One of the important things that will make the most of your community experience is in how you present yourself: positive or negative. Do be aware that you and you alone make the daily choice in how you approach others as a deviant. This may seem obvious: but unfortunately, not always considered before leaving a comment. Believe it or not: how you interact with the community leaves a mark, impacting yourself and others, in
dA Life #01: Sharing Your ArtWelcome to the first dA Life blog, a series created to help you enjoy your time on dA and use it's many tools for sharing your art, appreciating other people's art and taking part in the wonderful community that we have here.
YOUR GALLERY
Your gallery is the most obvious place to share your art but there's more to it than simply uploading.  Lets get started with putting your art in your gallery:
:bulletgreen: :faq79:
If you want to categorise your art into easily browsable sections, you can add folders to your gallery. Here are some useful FAQs about how this can be done:
:bulletgreen: :faq762:
If you'd like to give your gallery folders an extra blast of your personal style, you can do this using CSS, as explained in this FAQ:

GROUPS
If you'd like to share your work with like-minded artists, find a broader audience for your work or simply seek feedback from others deviants, you can do this with dA's Groups feature. To browse Groups, check
dA Life #02: Improving Your ArtWelcome to the second dA Life blog, a series created to help you enjoy your time on dA and use it's many tools for sharing your art, appreciating other people's art and taking part in the wonderful community that we have here.
SHARE YOUR ART
The first step to improving your art in an environment like deviantART.com is to share it, to put it out there where other artists and art appreciators will see it. dA Life #01: Sharing Your Art covers this and is well worth a read.
CRITIQUE
deviantART has a Critique system in place to allow you to request detailed feedback on your creations.
:faq95:
The official Critique system is a Premium Membership feature but there's no stopping all members from requesting constructive feedback and suggestions in the regular comments section of their deviations.
I'm not suggesting going on a spamming mission at every artist you admire, but if you've been chatting with someone who's work you
dA Life #03: Browsing and Collecting ArtWelcome to the third dA Life blog, a series created to help you enjoy your time on dA and use it's many tools for sharing your art, appreciating other people's art and taking part in the wonderful community that we have here.
WHY COLLECT?
When so much of your energy is focussed on improving and promoting your own art, it's easy to forget about another very important aspect of dA - browsing! Looking at, thinking about and falling in love with other people's art helps to keep your eyes open and your brain in gear, both essential for fuelling your own creativity. You might want to collect art that inspires you so you can come back for another look when you're trapped in an artist's block. Maybe you're collecting resources to use for your own personal projects or perhaps you just want a bunch of cool things to read or stunning things to look at, all in one place - like being the curator of your own awesome art exhibition! There are a few million reasons to appreciate and collect art

Hello and welcome to dA! I hope you enjoy your time here!
